Maybe that's because the boy is usually writing it to "make up" to some girl he did wrong...
or maybe they're just better in general.
Love to hear Leon Russell sing this. Listened to it this week, as a matter of fact ........
That's because we don't mean them.
Man, I loved Ray Charles' version of that song which I saw him perform at The Fox, by the way.
I heard a good love song sung by a girl Friday night.
It was titled "Whose Gonna Pour My Whiskey when You're Gone."
That worked for me.

Well boys may write better love songs, but girls write better break up songs....ever hear of Alanis Morrisette?
