Exit Music (For A Film)...*
It is always disconcerting to have a movie moment in 'real' life. Today I snuck out of the office for a moment to brood and stare blankly into space (heat-induced depression) and had the privilege to witness a movie moment.
I was jolted from my ennui by the sound a a chanteur belting out Sam Cooke's "(What A) Wonderful World". The man was well-dressed and appeared to be stable. He simply sang his song in the middle of the outside entrance to the Arena, put on his jacket (which he had placed on a nearby chair), threw a wink my way, and proceeded across the street. What bravery to step outside the shackles of what is considered normal and provide enjoyment for the three people who were lucky enough to witness his performance.
It made me smile.

That's a great song!
I suppose you weren't the only one suffering from the heat. I think that's great, we would all be a lot happier if this was more "normal" than someone blasting thug tunes from their stereo.
Maybe you'll be lucky enough to catch a reprise someday.
I'm smiling just thinking about it. You gotta love people who bring unexpected, unforgettable moments into our lives.
I would do that more often in my life if my singing didnt sound like a housecat being molested with a rolling pin.
but i let it ride in my truck...ill just wink at everybody from my truck
what a great moment. it says something doesn't it, when we see something like that and we all have to wonder for just a split second if the person is under or over medicated?

Madness-induced sanity?
Ditto, what Beth said. I live for those moments. If I go to long without one, sometimes I just have to create one for myself (and appreciative - OR puzzled- on-lookers!)

Sorry, you probably got about 3 of those *red face*
